AWAKE (discontinued)

Although still in the demonstration phase, there are a number of potential applications of the technology in the medium and long term. The aim is to perform an exploratory study of possible applications of the AWAKE concept. Possibilities were outlined in the collaboration’s presentation at the PBC kickoff workshop.

Options might include:

• Use of electron beam for test-beam campaigns.
• Fixed-target experiments using electron beams, e.g. deep inelastic scattering.
• Searches for dark photons
• High energy electron−proton collider
